The Ernest R and Minnie Farris Morrison Scholarship Program
About the Scholarship
Ernest Morrison and Minnie (Farris) Morrison both graduated from high schools in 1927 in Gibson County in southern Indiana. Ernest became a school teacher and first taught in Patoka High School. He then moved to Iowa and was Superintendent of schools in Davis City and then in Schleshwig, Kanawha and Monroe school systems. Ernest and Minnie moved back to Indiana where he was Principal of the Zionsville High School. Before he retired Ernest was head of the Math department at North View Middle School.
Minnie was a homemaker and assisted Ernest with mentoring and hosting students at their family homestead and apple orchard in Zionsville, Indiana. Their son, Eric created the Morrison Scholarship in memory of his parents.
